SKNL means to increase footprint; more brands in offing

S Kumars Nationwide Limited (SKNL) is on an expansion spree. Tarun Joshi, CEO, Brandhouse Retail, said, “Presently, we have 140 stores for five of our brands and by March 2008 this will go up to 479 stores across India. The brands that we currently have include Reid & Taylor, Carmichael House, Belmonte, Escada and Dunhill. Very soon, we will be launching Stephens Reed as well. By the end of March 2009, the stores will be increased to 900 and by March 2010 we will have 1,206 stores.”

Brandhouse Retail, a wholly owned subsidiary of SKNL, has been actively bringing in global fashion labels at the premium and super-premium segments. Recently they launched Dunhill in India, and sometime back two Escada stores were launched in Mumbai. Says Joshi, “Our vision is to become clothier to the nation today and the world tomorrow. So, it is natural for us to enter every segment.”
