Bharti gearing up to create man-power for its retail venture

Must Read

Bharti Resources, wholly owned subsidiary of Bharti Enterprises, and Global Retail School (GRS), subsidiary of Chandigarh-based Cosmo Aviation Training School, have agreed to work together to provide courses in retail management.

The courses offered will be visual merchandising and space planning, retail supply chain management, retail sales and marketing, and retail management and store operations. The duration of the certificate courses will be three to six months, and the diploma will be for one year. These courses will be offered to 10+2 students. The courses will be available at 60 centres across India.

The move was initiated because of the paucity of skilled manpower in the retail industry. According to a rough estimate, Bharti will need over 60,000 people for its retail venture in next few years.
