Xander to develop retail real estate for Tata

The Tata group has joined hands with Xander, a global private equity investor. Xander is going to help Tata group in developing real estate properties for its various retail ventures.

According to the agreement between Trent (a Tata group company) and Xander group, the latter will invest in developing institutional retail real estate portfolio in India. Whereas, Trent will have anchor tenancy rights and also manage the portfolio with Xander.

Xander group, which owns Xander Real Estate Partners, recently acquired about 20 per cent stakes in a joint venture between Reliance Industries and the Maker Group, to develop commercial and residential real estate in Mumbai.
