Hindustan Lever Ltd to take a plunge in retail sector

Must Read

Hindustan Lever Ltd (HLL), India’s largest FMCG Company, is said to be building alliances and giving consultancy services to kirana stores to convert them into modern outlets called Super Value Stores (SVS). The company will keep the rights of this brand with itself. These stores will have the HLL logo and Super Value Store name, as well as their original name. Sources close to the development have said that the company will not invest or support in these stores monetarily.

Experts say that HLL is trying to capture the grocery and retail stores pie before it is gobbled by big players like Reliance Retail, The Future Group, Spencer’s and Subhiksha, etc.
