Ritu Wears on expansion drive

Ritu Wears, the retail arm of north India-based apparel major JDS Apparels Pvt Ltd is on an aggressive expansion spree and plans to expand through north and central India soon.

Speaking to Indiaretailing, Sanjay Sahni, managing director, JDS Apparels Pvt Ltd, said, “We will be adding another seven stores by this year-end and this addition will take the total count to 14, which will add another one lakh square feet retail space to a total of over 2.5 lakh square feet available space.”

“This expansion will require an investment of around Rs 5 crore per outlet and the investment will be procured through internal accruals and private equity. The company had registered a turnover of around Rs110 crore and is expecting to clock its turnover to Rs 165 crore for the next fiscal,” added Sahni.
