Revolutionary retail initiative: Reliance Retail
Reliance Jewel: Reliance Retail made a foray into the branded jewellery space with the launch of Reliance Jewel in Bengaluru in 2008, sprawled over 6,000 square feet. The collection included 25, 000 designs in gold, diamond, platinum and silver jewellery sourced from regional karigars and design houses across the country. After the launch of their second store in Hyderabad, the company is eyeing to capture the major share of organised jewellery retail and plans to launch 300 Reliance Jewel outlets in next three years.
Reliance Timeout: This is the eighth format of RRL which offers an extensive range of books, music, movies and stationery, complemented with toys and gifts. Presently, there are three outlets of Reliance Timeout in Bengaluru, Gurgaon and Kochi. Further, it plans to expand to tier I and tier II cities by opening 45 outlets in a span of three years.
Reliance Autozone: The product array at Reliance Autozone includes a comprehensive range of car and bike accessories, electric scooters, tyres, batteries and other useful accessories. Reliance Autozone plans to have a pan India presence by opening 400 outlets in a span of 3 to 4 years.
Reliance Delight: While Reliance Fresh caters to the vegetarian segment, Reliance Delight caters to the non-vegetarian customers segment with fresh fish, frozen chicken and meat. They also offer frozen, ready-to-cook, foods of other companies and there are around 90-95 Delight outlets across the country.
Reliance Living Homeware: Reliance Retail's subsidiary Reliance Home Store Ltd, launched its specialty format, under the brand name of Reliance Living Homeware in Aurangabad. It spreads across 3000 square feet and provides disposable kitchenware, aluminum and paper products, gifts, assortments and much more. Further, the group has ambitious plans to take the format to all the metros in the coming 3 to 4 years.
Reliance Home Kitchens: Reliance Home Kitchens sell its private labels under the brand name Elegant Kitchen and has also tied up with leading international players to house their brands. It is a one stop destination for household utilities that are required everyday in the kitchen, dining area and bathroom.
Reliance Living Furnishing: With a variety of over 120 products in the home furnishings category, Reliance Living Furnishing is spread over 4,500 square feet. It has a coordinated three tiered private label range, namely - Home One – basic, My Home - mid-tier and My Home Premium - lifestyle oriented, which are exclusively designed in keeping with the seasonal color forecasts and fashion trends. Presently in NOIDA, Reliance living furnishing is a trendy home décor store and plans to have a nationwide footprint with stores in cities across India in the next 3 years. Reliance Vision Express: RRL formed a 50:50 joint venture with European optical major Pearle Europe and launched the first store of Vision Express in Bengaluru. The store offers a wide variety of fashionable and trendy optical products and eye testing as well. The outlets are expected to be opening soon in Gurgaon, Pune, Chennai and Hyderabad.
Undoubtedly, RRL is fully geared with projects that aim at offering a seamless supply chain infrastructure, unprecedented even by world standards. Through these multiple formats and a wide range of categories, Reliance aims to touch almost every Indian customer and supplier.
