Pacific Doon, DehradunWith successful operations of three projects in Ghaziabad , New Delhi and Agra, Bansal Corporation Ltd is extending its shopping centre development business to India 's tier II cities, targetting towns such as Jodhpur , Dehradun, Moradabad and Mathura in their next stage of expansion. Coming up next is Pacific Doon, which is scheduled to be launched by April 2008 on Rajpur Road, Dehradun.

Centrally located, Pacific Doon is hoped to attract footfalls from Rajpur Road and main Dehradun city, and also draw the tourist traffic on the Mussoorie-Dehradun highway. Covering a gross leasable area of 3,00,000 sq.ft, the mall is built on five floors with two levels for basement parking covering 1,50,000 sq.ft of space. The basement space will accommodate 600 cars and 200 two wheelers at a go. For comfortable movement of the consumers and to ensure clear visibility to all the tenanting brands and retailers across categories, an atrium space of about 20,000 sq.ft is being designed as the main entrance lobby.

Major retailers such as Big Bazaar and Ritu Wears have already given their letter of intents for taking up space within the mall. In terms of zoning at Pacific Doon, an area of 20,000 sq.ft has been allocated for a food court, while another 40,000 sq.ft will house leisure and entertainment options. The Bansal Group is believed to be in an advanced stage of negotiations with PVR Cinemas for the latter to anchor the entertainment offerings at the mall.
