Jewelry portal 'BlueStone.com' debuts in India

BlueStone.com, an online portal for jewelry and accessories, makes its debut in the Indian jewelry market. The venture has attracted an initial investment of $5 mn from VC firm Accel Partners and Pearson Education Services. The portal offers jewelry, accessories, and gemstones.

Speaking on the occasion, Vidya Nataraj, Founder, BlueStone.com, said: “BlueStone.com is India's first exclusive and aspirational online brand for fine jewelry and accessories aiming to give a new dimension to jewelry shopping. Prashanth Prakash, Partner of Accel Partners, said that the company is very excited to be a part of this unique opportunity to create a jewelry brand which combines trust with a compelling online buying experience. “Accel has invested in several leading e-commerce companies and is confident that BlueStone.com will be the dominant online jewelry company in India,” he further added.

Blustone.com is co-founded by entrepreneurs, Vidya Nataraj and Gaurav Singh Kushwaha.

According to company officials, the website offers its customers jewelry certified by independent international laboratories like International Gemological Institute (IGI) and HKD.
