After Cottage Emporium, Snapdeal to feature Microsoft products

Must Read

In the latest in a series of digital SIS set-ups, online marketplace Snapdeal has launched an online store for Microsoft.
The said store will host the “full range” of US-based company’s products, including phones, tablets, PCs and software. Snapdeal currently has similar online store for Xiomi’s- Chinese electronic company- products on its platform.
“We are pleased to be partnering with Microsoft in opening their online store on Snapdeal. This unique, self-contained store built by Snapdeal will allow users accessibility of Microsoft’s unified portfolio of phones, tablets, PCs and software,” Snapdeal Senior Vice President, Electronics and Home Tony Navin said in a statement.
The store will enable Microsoft to assist in key areas which include product selection, promotions and launches as per need. To do so, the company will leverage the analytics shared by Snapdeal.
“Increasingly consumers are going online to shop…mobiles, devices, software and accessories. We therefore see tremendous opportunity in delivering Microsoft products and services through our online store,” Microsoft India Group OEM Director Sharlin Thayil said.
Microsoft will not sell its Xbox One or Xbox 360 consoles on the store. Amazon India will still exclusively retail the Xbox One in the country.
Snapdeal recently also tied up with government-backed Cottage Emporium to launch an online market store that functions under the brand name Cottage Emporium. The store focusses on the representation of India’s rich cottage and crafts heritage and also enables the MSMEs to tap wider opportunities and boost the spirit of entrepreneurship among the artisans and weavers.
