Localbanya enters Delhi

Must Read
Leading online grocer Localbanya.com has announced the commencement of its services in Delhi. This is the third city added this year for the online grocery retailer, along with Pune and Hyderabad. The firm is pursuing an aggressive expansion plan for 2015 and is looking to roll out additional cities every month.  With the launch of services in Delhi, Localbanya is now the only major online grocer to be present in both Mumbai and Delhi.
After completing test runs through the month of March and part of April, the service was opened to all customers on the 19th of April.  Co – Founder Rashi Choudhary states, “We are absolutely over the moon with the response to our arrival in Delhi. The people of Delhi have shown their delight to having such a service made available to them and it shows in the numbers. After just a few days of operations we are already averaging close to 300 orders per day. While this has been a challenge to execute, our teams have received the necessary training and are able to cope with this surge. We always knew Delhi would be a key city to operate in and we are happy to be the first one there amongst our direct competitors. It sends a great signal that our brand is heading in the right direction and falls in line with our quest to benefit as many people as we can.”
Localbanya has already established itself as a leading player in the online grocery market, with a strong foothold in Mumbai. Their aggressive advertising strategy has seen them build a large database of customers and power their presence into new markets. The addition of Delhi has now pushed the amount of daily deliveries close to 1200 and they look to hit an average of 2000 per day be the end of May 2015.
