Jubilant FoodWorks to increase footprint

Jubilant FoodWorks which runs the Dunkin’ Donuts and Domino’s Pizza chains in India, plans to bring more brands into the country in the next five years as the company has revealed to media sources.
In addition, the company plans to add 150 new Domino’s Pizza outlets in 2015-16 to its existing 795 an official statement said. The company may also introduce new pizza-toppings inspired by local flavorings.

Dunkin’ Donuts will have 500 outlets in India in the next 15 years against the current 38 in 12 cities as reported by media.

Zomato looking to raise money through PE funding

Online restaurant tracker Zomato is in talks with PE players for a fresh round of fund raising which could value the online restaurant guide at 1 billion dollars as media sources have reavealed.
Sources suggest that Zomato is in the process of raising $100-150 million from private equity players, the pre-money valuation is pegged at around $800 mn and post the fund raise it could be close to $1 bn in valuations.

However, there is no official statement from company on proposed PE funding as of now. Zomato gets over 15 million visits across its web and mobile platforms every month. In the past one year alone, the traffic has grown by over 300 per cent, an official statement said.
