Must Read

Tyco Fire Protection Products (“Tyco”) held a series of seminars in August entitled ‘SIMPLEX – Building Safety’, focusing on the latest advancements in fire detection and alarm systems, across India. The events held in five major cities, brought together more than 700 architects, engineers and end users, such as facility managers and building owners. The seminars provided insights into the most recent updates to international fire detection codes and standards and showcased the latest innovations in fire detection from SIMPLEX – the market-leader in helping people protect large-scale, complex projects.

The seminars were part of a broader programme of activities by Tyco and its expert distributors in supporting specifiers, design engineers and end users in India. Industry specialists from Tyco, including Peter Ryan, Senior Commercialisation Manager globally responsible for the SIMPLEX brand, and Rodger Reiswig, Director of Industry Relations, shared their extensive knowledge on the latest technological developments and provided practical analysis of the latest updates to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Codes and Standards.

Participants learnt about the SIMPLEX brand’s world-leading, integrated range of fire protection solutions that include control panels, initiating devices, system accessories, workstations and notification appliances. Highlights included “TrueAlert ES” addressable notification appliances, which offer revolutionary automated self-test capabilities, and the latest enhancements to “TrueSite Workstation”, such as its mobile client application for secure, convenient access to important life safety system data at any time, from any location.

Peter Ryan commented: “The rate of economic and commercial development in India brings with it many opportunities and some distinct challenges; ensuring facilities are safe and well equipped to handle risk is critical. As the number of large-scale, complex construction projects increase, specifiers, engineers and end users need trusted experienced partners with technological capabilities to help them protect their people and facilities efficiently and effectively.”

“With a networkable, modular design, fault tolerant architecture and leading-edge testing and service capabilities, SIMPLEX fire detection products can handle the most challenging facilities. Cost-effective to maintain, the products are upgradable for the life of the facility and compatible with past and future SIMPLEX fire detection products.”
Rodger Reiswig added: “We are committed to helping end users, specifying engineers and members of India’s building and construction community to keep informed about international codes and standards and give them access to market-leading fire protection products. The seminars provide us with the perfect opportunity to share our knowledge and ensure our services and products continue to meet and anticipate the unique needs of the Indian market.”

The informative seminar series was part of a global educational seminar programme by the SIMPLEX brand to raise awareness and promote understanding about the importance of building safety, sharing with end users and fire system engineers Tyco’s knowledge in order to help them effectively safeguard buildings and protect occupants.
