Having established its India presence in Delhi-National Capital Region, Mumbai and Punjab, Swedish fashion retail giant H&M will debut in Chennai and Pune later this year.
According to a IANS report: Chennai will have its first H&M – sprawled over 34,500 sq ft – at Express Avenue Mall, while two locations have been confirmed for stores in Pune — at Phoenix Marketcity (33,000 sq.ft) and Westend Mall (23,000 sq.ft).
In keeping with the brand’s global mandate, the focus will remain on launching new stores at key shopping and retail destinations across India.
“H&M is having a great first year in India. The fantastic response from our consumers, to adopt international trends in their wardrobes, and a stronger economy, have encouraged us to explore new markets in metros and beyond. All our new locations will be full concept stores, offering the latest in women’s, men’s and children’s fashion,” Country Manager, H&M, Janne Einola was quoted by IANS as saying.
Plans are to also open three stores in Mumbai by end of 2016.
