V-Mart Q4 net profit down 70 pc to Rs 0.48 crore

Multi-brand retail chain V-Mart has reported 70 per cent decline in its standalone net profit at Rs 48 lakh for the fourth quarter ended on March 31, 2016.
According to a PTI report: The company had posted a net profit of Rs 1.60 crore during the January-March quarter in a year-ago period.
V-Mart’s net sales during the quarter under review was up 4.28 per cent to Rs 177.50 crore as against Rs 170.21 crore during the same period of last fiscal, the company said in a BSE filing.
For the full 2015-16 fiscal, V-Mart’s standalone net profit was down by 26.04 per cent to Rs 27.63 crore as against Rs 37.36 crore in the fiscal previous to it.
However, its net sales were up 12.54 per cent to Rs 808.16 crore in 2015-16 as against Rs 718.97 crore in 2014-15.
