McDonald’s Chinese chow for Kung Fu Panda 3

While Po and the Furious Five will strive to charm and enchant audiences on the big screen, McDonald’s India has decided to provide the fans an opportunity to bring to life the spirit of the animated film Kung Fu Panda 3 through their latest campaign.
Consumers can now celebrate that Kung-Fu experience every time they walk into a McDonald’s outlet with specially crafted Chinese burgers and desserts.
Commenting on the brand association, Marketing Director McDonald’s India (West & South), Kedar Teny, said, “As per the recent report released by a leading online portal, Chinese is India’s second most preferred cuisine. We have a long standing association with the Kung Fu Panda franchise and with the 3rd installment rolling out, we will celebrate a movie vertigration wherein for the first time we will introduce a new Chinese menu starting at Rs 35 and introduce a thematic packaging for all the offerings under the new menu.”
He further added, “The in-store décor of McDonald’s outlets and merchandise will also see a makeover inspired by Po’s and China, as well as a host of exciting activities. The McDonald’s ‘Kung Fu Panda‘ Happy Meal is all about having fun and we are excited to give kids the opportunity to recreate the adventures of Po and the Furious Five not only with this unique collection of Happy Meal toys, but by providing kids with an awesome online and offline experience that is both entertaining and energizing. This is yet another endeavour undertaken by the brand to extend the ‘I’m lovin it’ experience to our patrons.”
Consumers can now savour McChicken Schezwan and McVeggie Schezwan Burgers, a combination vegetarian or chicken patty with infusion of spicy Schezwan sauce, topped with crunchy onions, bell peppers and iceberg lettuce. In addition, the spicy flavoured, bite-sized snack ‘Paneer Chili Pockets’ makes a comeback.  The irresistibly delicious Chili Paneer Pocket is an amalgamation of fresh paneer, blended with tangy spices and Chinese seasoning, mixed with capsicum and carrots. And to satisfy your sweet tooth, the Passion Fruit McFlurry is a tasty treat loaded with dollops of vanilla ice cream, crunchy caramel and chunks of delicious Oreo topped with passion fruit fudge.
The campaign will take a multimedia approach and will be promoted across various platforms – TV, radio, digital and outdoor. It also gets on-ground and in-store support with fun-filled Kung Fu Panda theme packaging for the Chinese menu products, a grand Kung Fu Panda Selfie Booth, a gamut of Kung Fu Panda toys and giveaways with every Happy Meal and even Kung Fu Panda themed uniforms for the staff. Making it a complete Kung Fu Panda riot!
