Snapdeal appoints HUL's Kanika Kalra

Jasper Infotech, parent company of Snapdeal, has roped in Kanika Kalra of Hindustan Unilever as executive vice-president for marketing. Kanika was working as a brand director for HUL’s largest skin cream brand Fair & Lovely. She will be replacing Idi Srinivas Murthy, senior VP marketing.
Apart from working with HUL for eight years as  Global Brand Manager and Global Brand Director, she has also worked with brands like Pepsi, Glaxosmithkline Consumer Healthcare Limited and Genpact.
By March end, Srinivas Murthy will be relieved from his duties and responsibilities and Kanika will be taking over the position in April. Kanika is expected to be the primary custodian of Snapdeal. She will focus on gaining deeper customer insights, raising customer centricity and driving creativity and quality in all communication.
Last year, the Delhi-based company roped in Airtel’s Anand Chandrasekaran and Jayant Sood to head as chief product officer and chief customer officer.
