On-demand beauty services start-up StayGlad raises Series A funding

Must Read

Bengaluru-based on-demand beauty services platform, StayGlad, has raised an undisclosed amount in Series A round of funding led by Bessemer Venture Partners and Anil Chopra, Former CEO Lakme Lever.
The start-up enable customers to get beauty, styling and ‘get ready’ services at their doorsteps by connecting them to verified, trained, experienced and certified beauty service professionals either through websites or a mobile application.
It follows a strict process of selecting the professionals, who undergo process and skill training before onboarding. Professionals who fail to match the requisite skill set defined by StayGlad are removed from the platform.
Stayglad, which is currently operational in Bengaluru, is extremely bullish about the growth of the on-demand beauty services in India. In an earlier interview with Indiaretailing, Prateek Jain, Founder, Stayglad had said, “The biggest advantage of an on-demand beauty services model is that it reaches out to a much wider audience in comparison to a salon whose reach is limited to its geography. Beauty treatments are an essential part of every woman’s grooming requirements. They often get compromised due to lack of time and increasingly demanding schedules.”
StayGlad competes with the likes of VanityCube, MyGlamm, The Home Salon, UrbanClap, LocalOye among others in this space.
