Zopper, a hyper-local mobile marketplace for consumer durables and home appliances, is all set to expand its services across 30 cities by end of the year through its revamped Zopper App.
Launched in December 2012, Zopper connects local retailers to local buyers through its application. Zopper is targeted for those consumers who have reservations about buying online. It renders the benefits of shopping at a retail store and the convenience of shopping via mobile phones. Users can buy the required things from their homes/offices and get the product from their nearby trusted stores.
Speaking to Indiaretailing about its app, co-founder and CEO of Zopper, Neeraj Jain says, “We are a marketplace, just like Flipkart or Amazon, but what makes us better than them is the way we bridge online and offline buying. When you buy from other marketplaces you have no clue about who the seller is. But through the Zopper app, you know who the seller is as he/she is your nearby retailer. Consumers have the choice to visit those retailers and purchase products instantly by cash or credit card or against EMI schemes offered by the retailers or simply order them through our app.”
Zopper is currently present in Delhi-NCR, Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Jaipur and has tied-up with 5,00,000 lakh retailers to list their products and prices on the app. The app, which currrently is available only on the Android platform, has crossed 1 million downloads and has recently revamped to enhance the overall experience.
The latest version of the Zopper app permits users to search product by category, brand or model no to find out the best local prices for any product on the go from nearby trusted stores within the fraction of seconds. It also allows user to request for price quotes from nearby merchants who usually respond within minutes of getting a lead. Users can also personalise features by entering a few details, which would then allow it to recommend products based on customer preferences and shopping patterns.
“Zopper has always tried to deliver the urban Indian consumers with the maximum benefits that can be gained from our omnichannel method. With this latest version, we hope to modernise the data flow and deliver our users with an excellent browsing experience. Moreover, with improved framework and customisable options, the app will turn out to be a great tool for satisfying customer’s shopping necessities,” Jain asserts.
