Taco Bell strengthens Mumbai footprint

Yum! Restaurants India has extended Taco Bell’s retail presence in Mumbai with the launch of two new outlets at RCity Mall, Ghatkopar and Viviana Mall, Thane.
Launched in India in 2010, Taco Bell now has four restaurants in Bangalore and three in Mumbai. Following the launch of an outlet in Oberoi Mall, Goregaon in 2013, the openings mark Taco Bell’s first leg of expansion in Mumbai.
Both outlets feature Taco Bell’s signature menu comprising Mexican fast food items such as tacos, chalupas, quesadillas, burritos and other dishes prepared with different flavors and rich ingredients.
Referring to the foodservice brand’s experience in Mumbai and Bangalore, Unnat Varma, General Manager – Taco Bell & Pizza Hut, India said, “Our experience both in Bangalore and Mumbai has been fantastic with consumers thoroughly enjoying new food formats like tacos, chalupas and quesadillas. Though our food has familiar ingredients, they are performed very differently. We find that consumerscome in both for snacking and full meals.”
In other developments, Taco Bell, in association, Viviana Mall, also recently launched their first Braille Menu for blind consumers. The menu is visual, Braille- and audio-enabled and marks a strong step towards becoming more accessible for all segments of the society.
