Price-Hunt Launches Exclusive Clothing Section for Online Shoppers

Price-Hunt.com, one of the leading price comparison website is making its foray into the world of fashion and lifestyle with its new section on clothing. Founded in 2013, the portal has served more than 1.2 million visitors from January 2014 to October 2014. The primary endeavour of Price-Hunt is to aid online shoppers to make stress-free informed decision without the stress and inconvenience of going through a variety of online stores.

Price Hunt has now launched price comparison for clothing, which has been an unexplored segment till now. It aims to bring all e-commerce stores and products on a single platform, which gives shoppers a wider choice of products when looking for merchandise online. The clothing segment is vastly different from electronics and with this; Price-Hunt is looking to tackle the issue of product discovery and comparison. Clothing is further sub-categorised into Men, Women and Kids clothing sections catering to over 500 Indian and international brands. The website showcases products from over 30 credible online portals like Jabong, Myntra, Snapdeal, Flipkart, Amazon, Shopclues, Indiatimes and is expected to include 50 plus stores in next few months.

We have been one of the prominent website for comparing prices and aim at helping people easily find ‘what to buy’ and ‘where to buy’ by providing them features like product reviews, specifications, offers and coupons and of course, the best price of any product. Indian consumers are very price conscious and we want to help them in terms of best price and product selection.”

He further added, “Our new clothing section gives the user an opportunity to view parallel products across various stores presenting him / her with more choices at the best price before making a purchase. This is a unique concept in itself and we are the first one to introduce it for clothing.”

According to reports by internet analytics company comScore, one-in-four online shoppers visit a price comparison website before making a purchase. Comparison shopping is one of the fastest growing web categories in India with 52% YoY growth. Price comparison websites act as aggregators between users and sellers and provide the best deal from all online retailers, thus saving lot of manual time and effort of visiting each store individually.

Price comparison engines like price-hunt thus have bright future prospects. The site is initially intended for users from India but there are plans for global coverage in coming months. The company is also working to launch its mobile application soon.
