Senco Gold aims 100 stores by 2018, plans to double its revenues

Kolkata-based , a leading manufacturer and retailer of handcrafted gold and diamond jewellery, having substantial retail presence in West Bengal, Assam, Madhya Pradesh and the cities like Delhi, Bhunbaneswar, Patna, Dhanbad, Mumbai, etc, is on an expansion spree. Sharing the brand’s developmental plans, , Executive Director, Senco Gold Ltd, says, “We plan to roll out 20 to 25 stores across northern and western India by 2016-17.  We are targeting to reach 100-stores mark by 2018, and also double our revenues over the same period.”  The chain currently operates 58 showrooms, of which 26 are company owned and 32 are franchisee stores.

We also export our products to various international markets. It has been our endeavor to protect the artisans of Bengal and take their exquisite work to consumers everywhere”, adds Sen.

A family-owned jewellery company, Senco Gold regards the franchise route as its key growth engine. As per Sen, the brand has earned enormous goodwill in Bengal and Eastern India, “Our first showroom was opened in 1938 at Bowbazar, Kolkata.
