The new Restaurant is located at City’s famous retail destination, Junction Mall. It is spread across 2942 square feet with a sizable seating capacity. It is modeled on the new design theme followed by McDonald’s in all its new restaurants. It features vibrant lighting, multiple seating styles to entertain variety of customer segments like families; youth-teens; and children.
Speaking on the launch of the new McDonald’s, Kailash Aggarwal, Director, McDonald’s India (North & East) said, “Durgapur has been a priority city in our expansion plans in west Bengal; and today our plan sees realization as we open our first restaurant in the city; and Junction Mall is the perfect location for a McDonald’s.
‘We are pleased to become accessible to fans of McDonald’s in the city. We believe now they won’t have to go to Kolkata to visit a McDonald’s. Their wait is over’, he further added.
The restaurant is designed with the state-of-the-art technology driven MFY (Made for You) kitchen. MFY is a unique concept where the food is prepared after the customer has placed his order, yet it is served very quickly based on McDonald’s service standards. MFY enhances McDonald’s already strong commitment to food safety and hygiene.
The menu in Durgapur McDonald’s includes the famous ‘Happy Price Menu’, Happy Meal; and all the variety of Burgers, Fries, and Wraps that brand is famous for, which would be served with choice of beverages such as Ice Tea & Cold Coffee; and desserts like McFlurry and Soft serve cone.
McDonald’s currently has 358 restaurants in India of which 163 are in North & East India and 195 are in West & South India.
