Y C Gupta has been appointed as the business head of Indorama Industries Ltd (IIL). In the new capacity he will look after the business and operations of IIL.
Gupta has more than 38 years of rich experience in textile industry working in India and abroad. Prior to this, Gupta was heading LNJ Denim, a unit of RSWM Ltd, as the business head and CEO. He has been working in the capacity of CEO since the past three-decades. In India, he has worked with leading companies such as Vardhman (VSGM Ltd), RSWM Ltd, Gontermann Peipers India Ltd, Pasupati Spinning, STI Textile. He was also the CEO of CMT Ltd, Mauritius; and CEO of Indorama, Indonesia.
IIL is the first and only spandex plant in India, producing and selling under the brand name, Inviya. At present, IIL produces 5,000 MT of Inviya, which is widely used by leading customers in India, apart from being exported to various countries. Inviya spandex yarn is a 100 percent substitute to imports. Moreover, the company has plans to expand its manufacturing capacity by another 5,000 MT very soon.
