Tata Salt Organises Free Blood Pressure Check-up and Awareness Camps

Tata Salt Lite, one of India’s leading low-sodium iodised salt brands, organised free blood pressure check-up and awareness camps across Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad on World Hypertension Day on May 17 and 18, 2014.

Adult hypertension prevalence has risen dramatically over the past three decades from 5% to 20- 40% in urban areas, and between 12 and 17% in rural areas. One Indian out of five suffers from high blood pressure.Tata Salt Lite aims to provide people information on ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle and a healthy heartbeat, which helps blood pressure.
