British Brand Whistles to make American Retail Debut

Must Read

Beloved British label Whistles has announced the debut of its American retail expansion. It will hit US shores for the first time this month in New York via its exclusive partnership with Bloomingdale’s. The label will unveil its “shop in shop” experience at the department store’s 59th street flagship, giving fashion lovers the chance to shop Whistles items in store.

The new space will reflect the aesthetic of the brand’s London store, with the use of marble and polished stainless steel blending the label’s vibe with New York City’s iconic architecture.

For those unfamiliar with Whistles, the brand is known for its trendy must have pieces along with quality basic wardrobe staples. The brand’s collections come in luxe fabrics such as shearling, cashmere and leather.

Perhaps the most exciting facet of Whistles are the Limited Edition pieces from its London Fashion Week show, which have been featured in countless American fashion magazines over the years.

In a statement, Jane Shepherdson, The Chief Executive of Whistles, expressed the company’s excitement to expand into the US market.
“Opening in New York has been a dream of ours for so long, that I can hardly believe it is really happening. I think London and NY have a pretty similar energy, and I hope that Whistles becomes as popular here as it has become in London. I can’t wait to see NY girls wearing Whistles in their own way”.

Bloomingdale’s Vice Chair and GMM of ready-to-wear, Frank Doroff, spoke of the collaboration as a way the department store is introducing European labels to its American customers.

“Bloomingdale’s has been focused on bringing unique European brands to the US market and partnering with Whistles reaffirms this commitment. Bringing this high-spirited, London favorite to the floors of our store will be exciting for our shoppers who continue to look to us for fashion newness”.
