Must Read

Fashiola, the Germany-based site is a new entrant in United Kingdom. The fashion search engine enables British shoppers to search for items across registered brands before clicking through to retail websites to buy. So far names including Marks & Spencer, H&M and Topshop are available to search.

The launch brings to the UK a concept that is already established in the Netherlands and Germany, where Fashiola features more than three million products from 500 shops. In those markets it sees two million search queries a month and 700,000 unique visitors. In the UK, it aims to tap into an online fashion market expected to be worth £6.9billion by the end of the year.

As Peter Langenkamp, Managing Director of Fashiola says, “We’re excited to have arrived in the UK and into such a strong online fashion market He further adds “We believe there is a great demand here for our service and commitment to providing a fast, easy and unique shopping experience”.

Langenkamp said, “There are thousands of online fashion shops, but how are shoppers able to search for a particular piece of clothing quickly online? We have solved this problem by giving a complete overview of all brands, prices, styles and available of the goods in the correct size and for the best price in the market. We’re delighted to have expanded into the UK and know Fashiola is going to be a huge success with shoppers and fashion lovers here”.

Shoppers use the site by searching for an item using filters including brand, price and delivery time. Once they’ve found an item they are redirected to the retailer’s site to buy. Users can set alerts to be notified when the item goes on sale. Fashiola has content including stylebooks and fashion blogs on its own site and on social media.
