Fabindia Launches its Contemporary Western Wear Brand FABELS

Must Read

With the launch of FABELS, Fabindia, the Indian lifestyle retailer has entered into contemporary western wear market. Comprising classic western cuts and styles for both, men and women, the line has been developed to appeal to the young urban Indians, increasingly aware and responsive to global trends.

The launch collection has been conceptualised by international designer Alistair Blair, who has been associated with labels such as Dior, Valentino, Givenchy, Cerruti and Chloe and presently lives in Goa.

The coordinated ensembles on offer include structured jackets, waistcoats, trousers, shirts, skirts, dresses as well as accessories such as scarves, jewellery, bags and shoes. FABELS is also distinguished by the weaves, block prints and hand embroidery techniques that have been used as a part of this premium range of western garments.

Speaking on the occasion, William Bissell, Managing Director-Fabindia, said “We are very excited about FABELS and creating a dynamic western wear brand that builds on the strengths of Fabindia”.

Subrata Dutta, CEO-Fabindia, added, “The time is right for FABELS.  This is a great opportunity to create a western idiom out of India and I look forward to the products with their distinctive styles resonating with our customers”.

FABELS will be retailed out of dedicated shop-in-shops created to replicate the fashion shopping experience in ten Fabindia stores across Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai.
