Sensibilities of Salons: The EyeCatchers

Must Read

A perfect salon interior is one that reflects the brand and its values, makes great use of space and is well lit to showcase the art of styling and grooming. The layout of the interior is an essential part of the functioning of a salon and while it should be stylish and chic, it should also make optimum use of the available space. Every salon has a design crew comprising of a lead architect and an interior designer who man the project right from the inception of idea to its final execution

One of the leading salons of the east, The EyeCatchers, has a play of contemporary, luxurious and edgy monochromatic colour schemes that give it an open feel. Says Sanjeev Sinha of Renaissance Designs, “We have designed an architectural style that reflects the brand’s unique personality and lends the place a modern and versatile look. We are committed to creating the perfect style for each and every property by laying emphasis on functional space management, sense of comfort and luxury.” Confirms Vinay Rungta, Owner, The EyeCatchers, “We are working with Renaissance to create more signature outlets which we intend to open nationwide.”

Monochromatic nudes with warm illuminating tones form the colour theme of the latest outlet on G S Road in Guwahati. Since this salon is facing a high street, there are large French windows that communicate visuals of the brand’s collections. The panels of the work area are placed facing the high street where people can get a sneak peek of live styling by the team. In the outlets in malls, there are few branding options outside and around the salon. The design philosophy and professional expertise has helped them incorporate an array of services pertaining to hair, nails and retail to create a sense of comfort and luxury.

Their luxurious Bridal or VIP room is the most prominent section with spa rooms with attached shower and Jacuzzi, pedicure cabins and a KŽrastase hair and scalp treatment zone. There are plans to emphasise under-lit retail shelving in order to highlight the wide range of products available. On why they chose such an elaborate salon design, Rungta reasons, “We have tried to develop elegant, well-planned and productivity enhancing spaces. The innovative interiors and dŽcor of our salons and spas enhance the client’s experience, which helps us improve customer service with a heightened degree of professionalism.”
