Indian manufacturer and retailer of fine bone china and ceramic tableware Clay Craft India has announced the acquisition of the JCPL (Jaipur Ceramics Pvt. Ltd.) brand. Clay Craft India will get a facelift by undertaking the branding rights allowing the firm to increase its distributor and retailer network and an increase in the market share.
Padam Narian Agarwal, MD, Clay Craft India, says: “We are very happy to announce the acquisition of JCPL brand which is still having its footmarks and a vast network across India. Clay Craft group will run Jaipur Ceramic brand parallel to its existing brands. The supply of the additional market demand will be satisfied by Clay Craft India’s existing facility initially. To satisfy this additional demand under JCPL brand, group has also planned to set up one plant at an investment of Rs. 100 Crore by the year end. JCPL’s global network will help us to bring global
According to the company: “In the face of stiff global competition, the ceramic and glass industry in India has been growing at a pace of 25 %. The acquisition of Clay Craft India with the JCPL will prove to be fruitful for the entire industry globally.”
With nearly 10,000 retail counters and over 150 channel partners, Clay Craft also has partnerships with retailers like Big Bazaar, Home Center, Lifestyle, Spencer, Homeshop 18, and Jabong.com. It also exports high-end products to the UK, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
Clay Craft’s state-of-art production facility situated at Jaipur, has a production capacity of 110,000 pieces per day.
