Anti-aging Treatments to Glow Brighter in 2014

Must Read

Earlier, cosmetic and beauty industry in India was dominated by celebrities and socialites because such expensive treatments were not in the reach of the common man. However, today, the scenario has completely changed and due to the sudden awareness it is growing by leaps and bounds. As per Dr. Shubha Dharmana from Le’Jeune MedSpa, the beauty industry is growing at the rate of more than 20 percent every year. “I see a lot of awareness in the field of aesthetic medicine and aspirational crowd is lapping it up for various treatments, be it laser hair removal, peels or botox,” she adds.

Increasing Demand

The growing demand reflects various facets of beauty industry, but Dr. Deepali Bhardwaj from The Skin & Hair Clinic believes that it is the oldest demand from the Cleopatra times to have clear, glowing and radiant skin.

Dharmana shares that the time has changed and mothers are introducing their daughters to new age beauty treatments quite early in life to prevent beauty issues at the preliminary age. However, women are not alone in the race to look prim and proper, men too want solutions for pigmentation, acne, scar and unwanted hair.

Popular Treatments in 2013

Over the years, we have seen advance beauty treatments for almost every beauty dilemma. Dr. Abhay Talathi from SkinSpace Clinic reveals: “Laser Hair Reduction, Skin Peels, Meso Therapy, Stem Cells, Botox, Cheek and Lip Enhancements with Dermal Fillers have become quite popular now as the clients are willing to experiment.”

As per Bhardwaj, in 2013 apart from botox and fillers the new treatment micro thread lift in non-surgical cosmetology was also in demand. In fact, hydra facial was one of the most preferred treatments for skin cleansing. Peels take off the outermost layer of the skin and highlight the underneath skin that has less pigmentation and uneven skin tone.

For flawless skin Medi-facial and Photofacials are increasingly being recognised. These treatments rejuvenate the dull skin with either a Mild Peel, Laser or a Radiofrequency device.

Another celebrated beauty treatment in 2013 was Botox that corrects wrinkles, fine lines, crows feet and more. On the similar lines Fillers boost the production of collagen in the skin that fights signs of aging. Dermal Fillers are injections of hyaluronic acid that are used in areas of volume loss in the face to fill, lift and contour lines and folds.

Today, laser hair removal is one of the easy and safe ways to get rid of unwanted hair from the face and body. Its effective and pain-free results in six to eight sessions are making it familiar among upper middle class group.

Beauty Trends for 2014

Experts believe that the availability of breathtaking treatments has revolutionised the Indian beauty industry; however, still there is more to come. In 2014 skin treatments like PRP for hair growth, skin rejuvenation and vampire facelifts will make a strong presence.
After gaining popularity in western countries treatments like 4D Facelift and SmartXide CO2 will make a rage in India. Anti-ageing treatments will make big this season.

Lasers and Radio Frequency devices therapies to generate collagen will also attract customers to have young and flawless skin. Dr. Talathi concludes: “Lots of new upcoming big things are expected in 2014, Hyaluronic Gel containing skin boosters like Restylane Vital to increase the collagen content, reduce fine lines, improve dry rough skin, for instance.”
