Leisure & Entertainment Store Chain Starmark Opens its 5th Outlet in Kolkata at Quest Mall

Leisure and entertainment store chain Starmark has opened its fifth outlet in Kolkata, sixth in India, at the Quest mall. Spread over 15,000 sq.ft., the new outlet is expected to meet the needs of a large leisure and entertainment store in Park Circus, Beckbagan and the surrounding areas with different sections for books (English, Bengali and Hindi); toys; movies, games, music, audio accessories, gifts, arts and crafts, hobby ideas; and stationery for both schools and offices.

Speaking on the occasion, Gautam Jatia, CEO, Starmark, said: “Starmark at Quest is till date our best looking store with an amazing collection of books movies toys and stationery. The gift wrapping paper collection and the hobby concepts sections are sure to wow our customers. We are very hopeful that our format at Quest will be appreciated by all.”

The Starmark stores operate under Emami Frank Ross. The first Starmark store, spread over 16,000 sq.ft., opened at the Emami Market, Kolkata in 1999 followed by its second outlet (3,000 sq.ft.) at the City Centre I, Salt Lake in 2007. Its third store opened in 2008 at the South City mall ( 20,000 sq.ft.). Also in 2008, the fourth Starmark outlet started operations from Mani Square with the objective of catering to the market demand of North-East Kolkata. In July, 2013, Starmark entered Tamil Nadu and opened a 15,000 sq.ft. store at Chennai in Express Avenue mall.
