Brijwasi Forays into Restaurant Business with ‘Makhan’

The fourth generation of – the oldest Mithai family of Mumbai, has forayed into the restaurant business with hospitality consultants SID Hospitality of Aoi  and Lemongrass fame by opening a Rajasthani restaurant called Makhan at Kalbadevi , Mumbai serving North Indian dishes.

Spread over 1,400 sq.ft., Makhan’s menu comprises dishes such as   Gatte ki sabzi, Daal baati choorma, Kair Sangri aur bhakri, Gol Gappey and some Gujarati food including Handvo and Googra. The outlet also offers chaat items such as Raj Kachori, Tikki Chole, Khasta Papdi chaat, and Dahi Aloo Puri .

Sweet options available at the restaurant include  Makhan Special Tawa Mithai, Gulabi Gulkand, Moong Dal ka Halwa, Malpua and Rabdi, Jaipuri Kesar, and Paneer Ghevar .

Going ahead the Brijwasis are looking to open another Makhan in the Gujarati dominated Bharat Diamond Bour se in Band ra Kurla Complex early next year.
