Footwear retailer Liberty Shoes added 50 additional stores in the first six months of this financial year and aims to add the same number of stores by March 2014. It currently has 422 stores in over 120 cities with each store featuring around 500 designs for men, women, and children.
Liberty recently re-vamped its collections.The number of pairs sold by the company increased by 68 percent in the past one year. The company’s sales for the first six months also reached Rs 216 crore as against Rs 153 crore achieved in the corresponding period. Liberty’s sales in the second quarter increased by 46 percent and stood at Rs 108 crore as compared to Rs 74 crore in the corresponding quarter ended September 30, 2012. The company has also seen growth in its export which has increased substantially by 17 percent.
