Home interiors retail chain Evok Mega Home Store enters Indore

Evok Mega Home Store, a home interiors retail chain from Hindware Home Retail, has opened a “specialty home interiors” Mega Store at Malhar Mega Mall, Indore. Spread over 12,000 sq.ft., the new outlet offers over 16,000 home interior products including home furniture, soft furnishings, home décor and accessories, modular kitchens, laminated floorings, bath fittings, and lightings.

This is the company’s 17th store in the country under its Rs 250 crore investment plan. The new outlet will also provide “Design to Build” interior design services to its customers in Rajasthan. In-house designers at the showrooms will assist customers to visualise their ideal home spaces using 2D and 3D visualisation.

Speaking on the occasion, D K Jairath, CEO, Hindware Home Retail said: “I am pleased to announce the launch of our Evok Mega store at Indore. With our expansion plans set for the pan India market, we are looking forward to setting new industry benchmarks in the home interiors retail sector.”

The company plans to open stores in Chennai, Coimbatore, Vizag, Noida, Mumbai, Vishakapatnam, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad. It aims to add 8-10 Mega Home Stores by the end of 2012, continuing its expansion in tier I and II cities.

Evok Mega Home Stores entered the organised home retail market of India in 2008 with an estimated investment of Rs 250 crore. The retail chain is currently present in Delhi (West and South Delhi), Gurgaon, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Kochi, and Maharashtra (Thane and Pune). The company aims to achieve a turnover of Rs 400 crore by FY 2014-2015.

Hindware Home Retail Private Ltd (HHRPL) has been incorporated as a 100 percent subsidiary of HSIL. HSIL Limited (formerly known as Hindustan Sanitaryware and Industries Limited) is the flagship company of the Somany Group.
