D’Mart opens two flagship boutiques in Delhi

Home decorative firm, Dolphin Mart has opened two flagship boutiques, d’Mart Exclusif and Woodmart, in Punjabi Bagh, Delhi. The d’mart Exclusif store spreads over 1,700 sq.ft., while Woodmart covers an area of 3,500 sq.ft.

d’Mart Exclusif stocks home décor and gifting artifacts in silver, bronze, crystal, porcelain and marble from countries such as Italy, France, Spain and Germany. Woodmart offers furniture for living room, bedroom and dining.

Speaking on the occasion, Praveen Rao, VP Operations, Dolphin Mart, said: “The unique concept of ‘Signature boutiques’ is in line with our quest to provide home décor and gifting ideas with an international experience. It is a result of strategic decision to offer a complete premium and differentiated experience in the luxury home décor space in every metro city in the country.”

Dolphin Mart plans to open 5 company-owned boutiques and 15 franchisees to the existing 14 franchisees. The minimum size of each store is 1,200 sq.ft. with an initial investment of Rs 1.25 crore. The company targets a deeper penetration in tier II cities, innovating new products and improving the shopping experience. Dolphin Mart expects a turnover of Rs 45-50 crore by March 2012.

It has a pan-India presence with a franchisee network with 14 showrooms and boutiques in Delhi, Gurgaon, Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolkata, Nagpur, Pune, Surat and Ludhiana in India; Amsterdam in Holland and New Jersey and San Francisco in the USA.
