German luxury home-appliance brand Miele has opened its first boutique store in Gujarat at Surat in partnership with Maruti Hardware. Spread over 2,500 sq.ft., the new store stocks domestic appliances for cooking, baking and steam-cooking, refrigeration products, coffee makers, dishwashers, laundry care, floor care products, washer-extractors and tumble dryers for commercial use and washer-disinfectors and sterilisers for use in medical and laboratory applications.
Speaking on the occasion, Dhananjay Chaturvedi, Managing Director, Miele India, said: “It has been our vision to bring the Miele experience to the more discerning consumers in key markets. Being one of the most prominent and progressive business centres in India, Surat was always on company’s plans. We are very happy that at the onset of our third year of operations in India, we have been able to realise this goal. Surat is and will form an important milestone in the expansion of the Miele network in India. We are very happy to launch our first ever boutique store of Gujarat in Surat. Founded in 1899, Germany-based 2.95 bn Euros worth, Miele has a global presence in over 100 countries. The brand entered India in 2009 with 65 luxury appliances in the price category starting from Rs 23,000 to 20 lakh. Currently, it is present in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Hyderabad and Pune.
