Dwarika City Centre mall plans for a 2013 launch in Muzaffarpur

Dwarika City Centre mall, Muzaffarpur is planning for a 2013 launch. The mall started its construction in June 2011 and is expected to take around 18 – 20 months to get completed. Dwarika City Centre has been developed by S T Marketing with an approximate investment of Rs 30 crore. The mall will have a total built-up area of 1,85,000 sq.ft. With a gross leasable area of 1,30,000 sq.ft. Almost 50 percent of the mall has already been leased out.

Talking about the catchment profile and footfall of the mall, Shaswat Kumar, Director, ST Marketing, said: “The mall will target the city and district population of Muzaffarpur which will frequent the mall as part of weeekly / monthly shopping travel to the city. People from neighbouring satellite centres in North Bihar and even parts of Nepal are also likely to visit the mall. Dwarika City Centre will attract an average daily footfall of over 5,000 which is on account of success/ experience of various standalone retail formats.”

The mall will have a three-screen multiplex spread across 30,000 sq.ft. and DCC Food Plaza having an area of 16,000 sq.ft. It will have ground plus five floors having 65 stores, three entries and exits, seven lifts, and six elevators provided by Otis. The mall will have both double basement and surface parking which will accomodate 200 and 500 four-wheelers and two- wheelers, respectively.

The mall will be maintained and operated by Dwarika City Centre which will also be responsible for security and parking management. S & P Associates is looking after both interior and exterior designing while Siemens is taking care of landscaping and lighting.

The mall has already signed Big Bazaar as its anchor store. Bata will also be present along with. F&B brands such as Mad about China, Indian Tadka, and Madras Mail.
