Paris Hilton unveils handbags collection in India

Paris Hilton has unveiled a wide range of handbags and accessories in India in partnership with Brand Concepts, a part of IIF group and one of the leading fashion and lifestyle retail companies of the country.

Hilton’s entry in the Indian market has marked the brand’s expansion in Asia, as she expects to feature it in affordable luxury category in India. “My handbags suit every kind of woman. India being diverse, the choice always differs. So the range of handbags I will be retailing in India can be used on a daily basis and also taken for evenings or special occasions,” she said.

Commenting on the Indian market, Abhinav Kumar, CEO, Brand Concepts said: “Indian consumers value good-quality branded products at best price points. We have a long-term exclusive licensing with Retouch brand from Spain that will help us retail Hilton’s handbags in India, which will be available at Shoppers Stop, Vijay Stores and Standard Max and priced between Rs 2,000 and 12,000. The brand will open at least four to five stores by the end of the calendar year and will have around eight outlets by the end of this financial year.”

The stores will not only be opened in major cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Ahmedabad but will also have a presence in tier I and II cities.

Brand Concepts intends to promote the collection through brand-building activities and social media marketing. The company has allocated a budget of around Rs 3 crore for the marketing activities in this financial year.
