The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) plans to launch an Ayurvedic Wellness Centre, targeted at senior management executives who attend the institute’s Management Development Programmes (MDP’s). Through the Wellness Centre and Spa, the institute aims at providing rejuvenation, and easing the stress levels of these executives.

“People from across the world come to Kerala to avail of such facilities. We think it makes good sense to offer such facilities to those who come to the institute to learn,” said Debashis Chatterjee, Director, IIMK.
The institute is building an MDP Centre at an investment of Rs. 60 crore, and will start operations in April 2012. Of the 140 rooms part of the centre, at least 30 will be for company chief executives. The institute is also consulting with P.R. Krishna Kumar, the Managing Director of the Coimbatore-based Arya Vaidya Pharmacy, known for his work in the Ayurvedic wellness and personal care domain.
