Hypercity has joined hands with ITM Group announcing the launch of a 18 month Hypercity-ITM Post Graduate program in Retail exclusively designed for young retail aspirants. The program will be taught by faculty of ITM and Hypercity Managers and Trainers. A unique aspect of the program is the paid internship and guaranteed placement for students who complete the course.

Commenting on the collaboration, Nitin Putcha, VP – operations, ITM Group of Institutions, said, “We constantly endeavour to provide the best course curriculum and training to all our students across our courses and institutions and believe that this unique partnership with Hypercity will go a long way in redefining the quality of skilled resources in the retail industry. We have chosen to work with Hypercity because we have seen that they are the leaders in the consumer retail space and have a high standard of performance and delivery. ”

Mark Ashman, CEO, Hypercity said, “Education in our sector plays a pivotal role in the formulation and implementation of corporate strategies. The logic behind designing a structured program with the help of ITM is to develop young professionals who have had a chance to get hands on experience and also learn from the senior professionals of the industry. Further these graduates will be assured of post course placement in Hypercity and we will get the benefit of experienced well trained professionals.”

The program includes the first semester to be completely spent in ITM campus, while in the second semester the students will spend 3 days at Hypercity store, getting hands-on experience beyond the regular theory classes. The final 6 months are for a full-time paid internship, giving students deep experience in retail operations.
