Sushi and More plans to reach high streets across the country

Must Read

Post the launch of its first stand-alone store in South Mumbai, Sushi and More, the fresh food division of Maidoindia, has plans to focus on highstreets. Anuj Jodhani, director, Maido Enterprises, said “Since this is our first outlet – we wish to make this as a centre for our learning and understand more about consumer wants, and put all of it together in the next financial year. The response so far has been fantastic and we are confident about growth seeing the strong trends in the first month itself.” Commenting on the investment for the ongoing fiscal, he added, “It has taken us a little over 3 years to open our first outlet in Mumbai. We’ve been promoting Japanese food since 3 years and we felt that now is a good time to start the first ‘direct consumer’ interaction with our customer.”

Japanese food is one of the healthiest cuisines in the world and that explains why the Japanese have the longest life expectancy in the world. The new outlet aims to attract Indians customers into trying authentic Japanese cuisine.

The company has announced plans to open new outlets in high street and will focus on the malls in the future. The retailer has confirmed that there are no plans in the pipeline to get into the franchising route as of now and wishes to have as much control over its stores.
