    , India’s leading retail company, has announced aggressive retail expansion plans and is set to open 40 new outlets in Bihar, Western UP, MP and Rajasthan with the investment of Rs. 100 crores by FY13.

    V-Mart stores offer an array of products ranging from FMCG goods, grocery items, women’s wear, kid’s wear, menswear, footwear, home furnishing, home and kitchen appliances and luggage amongst others.

    Talking about the expansion plans, Mr. , CMD, V-Mart Retail, said,”At V Mart we are known for ‘sabse sasta sabse achcha’. We cater to the middle and lower middle class. Our focus is on tier 2 and 3 cities where people do not have a good choice for shopping. We are focusing on various parts of the country.”

    The retailer has no plans to get into franchising route and as per the strategy, the brand will open all its new showrooms on High streets.
