Armstrong World Industries Inc, a Pennsylvania-based global leader in the design and manufacture of floors, ceilings and cabinets, has forayed into the Indian retail segment with the launch of an exclusive store in Thane. Located at Khopat and run by Saif Enterprises, the new outlet is spread over 320 sq.ft and exhibits the premium range of Armstrong’s ceilings and floorings products.
Speaking on the occasion, Arjun Shahani, MD, Armstrong World Industries (India) Pvt Ltd, said, “We are really excited about inaugurating our first exclusive store in Thane. We have catered to the Indian market through a strong channel partner.”
Stressing that the Indian market is developing at a fast pace, Shahani said, “We plan to roll out around 600-1,000 retail touch points in the country to cater to the market in the next four years. Our retail foray will consist of both exclusive stores as well as shop-in-shops in multi-brand outlets.”
Armstrong will focus its retail expansion in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Bangalore in the next one year. The company aims to make flooring products available to retail end users.
