Must Read

ChokoLa, a café and chocolate boutique chain promoted by industrialist Vasudha Munjal, is targeting the 20-café mark in the next one year. The outlets will come up in all the major metros of India.

The company recently opened a ChokoLa café at Pacific Mall in Tagore Garden, Delhi. The 270-sq.ft outlet offers beverages, bakery products and hand-made chocolates.

Ravi Pahuja, COO, ChokoLa, told IndiaRetailing, “The company has invested Rs 25 lakh on the new outlet.”

He further said ChokoLa was focusing on Delhi and Mumbai for the initial expansion.

Revealing the company’s expansion plans for Delhi-NCR, he said, “We are looking to open outlets in West and North Delhi, although the properties are yet to be finalised. We are also planning to launch our flagship outlet at DLF Galleria in Gurgaon. The 1,000 sq.ft outlet is expected to be operational by the first week of June.”

By next year, ChokoLa will also launch chocolates as a retail product, which will be sold through modern food and grocery retailers. “So, basically, by next year we will be having two lines of business – chocolate retailing and cafés,” Pahuja added.

The company, which has a state-of-the-art manufacturing unit in Gurgaon, currently has its presence mainly in Delhi and at Mumbai International Airport.
