With the aim to fill various full- and part-time positions in close to 14,000 US restaurants, McDonald’s and its franchisees are looking to hire up to 50,000 new staff during a day-long hiring event on April 19.
“Our employees are the foundation of our business. They are the men and women who interact with our customers every day, enhance the McDonald’s experience, and continue to help make our business stronger,” said Jan Fields, president, McDonald’s USA. “Our national hiring event is an opportunity to invite more people across the country to join our team, and learn that a ‘McJob’ is one with career growth and endless possibilities.”
To get the word out, McDonald’s will be supplementing its recruitment drive with an ad campaign that describes the advantages of working under the golden arches – flexible hours, medical benefits and opportunities for advancement.
