In its endeavour to provide customers with a complete lifestyle solution and gain an early foothold in an emerging branded footwear market in India, fashion brand Tommy Hilfiger has launched a line of footwear for men and women.
Shailesh Chaturvedi, CEO and executive director, Tommy Hilfiger India, elaborates, “Tommy Hilfiger PLC brought the footwear licence back into its fold a few seasons ago. The business has seen strong in-flow of energy since then and business has grown rapidly. Initial success of the footwear line in India is a reflection of that energy boost.”
There are two distinct footwear lines in the collection – Sportswear (catering to a distinct clientèle that seeks a quirky and fun look) and Denim (for the edgy fashion forward youth).
The footwear collection will be available at exclusive brand stores of Tommy Hilfiger and select department stores, such as Shoppers Stop, Lifestyle and Kapsons, among others, taking its presence to over 100 doors in the initial phase.
The footwear collection will add to the portfolio of Tommy Hilfiger, which has both apparel and accessories available in over 1,000 select points of sale covering over 96 cities across India.
