Italian furniture brand Giorgetti sets foot in India

Italian designer furniture brand Giorgetti, in a tie-up with M Concepts, has entered the Indian market by opening its maiden store in Mumbai. The outlet at Senapati Bapat Marg occupies an area of 5,000 sq.ft and makes Mumbai only the third city – after Milan and New York – to host the brand’s standalone store.

Speaking at the launch, Carlo Giorgetti, president of the company, said, “We aim to open a new chapter in the luxury furniture market in India. It is truly the ‘store of the future’; all we want is to offer people access to world-class furnishing articles, focused on the ultimate customer experience.” The company plans to open another store in Delhi by the end of this year.

On the launch of Giorgetti in India, Heena Kalantri, founder of M Concepts, said, “Giorgetti exemplifies the art of luxury and a notion of elegance when it comes to designer furniture. We are proud to associate with a brand that stands for absolute luxury and a perfect amalgamation of design, creativity and quality.”

M Concepts houses and retails women’s and men’s prêt-a-porter, haute couture, jewellery, high-end customised invitation cards, designer furniture, chocolates and pralines. The company crossed a turnover of $2 mn in FY’10.
