Hundreds of male models put their best foot forward and competed tooth and nail to walk the runway for some of the leading lights of the men`s fashion industry in the soon to be organised Van Heusen India Mens Week.
Buoyed by the success of the first edition, Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) has scheduled the second edition of the Van Heusen India Mens Week from August 27-29 at The Grand, New Delhi.
The Delhi leg of the male model auditions was kick started on July 8, at The Grand, Vasant Kunj. Aspiring applicants had to meet selection criteria of being 5 feet 11 inches or taller. The Mumbai auditions will be conducted on July 13.
Elaborating on the auditions, Sunil Sethi, President, FDCI said, “Van Heusen India Mens Week 2010 aims to provide talented young male models with the remarkable opportunity to prove their mettle. The event will not just showcase top trends that are sweeping the menswear industry but also display the best of the modeling industry on the runway.”

Given the impressive accolades that the event managed to garner at its inaugural year, the second edition of Van Heusen India Mens Week is ready to set benchmarks and is a serious contender in the global mens fashion space.”
Jury Members who’ve been designated the crucial task of choosing the final models and the future stars of the Indian ramp include anchor/actor Mandira Bedi, model-turned actor Rahul Dev, designer Rohit Bal, Manoviraj Khosla, Varun Bahl, Rohit Gandhi, Anjana Bhargav and model Nayanika Chatterjee.
The esteemed jury members are selecting models on several attributes, such as their confidence, attitude and physique.
