Orient Ceramics Q2 PAT at Rs.2.39 crore

Orient Ceramics and Industries Ltd (OCIL), one of the largest manufacturers of tiles for walls, floors and facades in India, has reported a net profit at Rs.2.39 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2010, as compared to Rs.2.2 crore for the corresponding quarter last fiscal.

The income from operations stands at Rs.67.68 crore, against Rs.61.28 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2009.

OCIL has also reported an EPS of Rs.2.27 for the quarter under review, as compared to Rs.2.09 for the same quarter last fiscal.

The company has major retail expansion plans. It intends to have 100,000 sq.ft of retail area by the end of the current fiscal.
