The world’s best hair!

A recent worldwide survey conducted by Dr Yash Kamath, concludes that Indian hair is the world’s best hair. The study was conducted on samples of three types of hair, African, Caucasian and Indian, and has been put to test on four characteristics – thickness, tensile strength, damage levels, shine and smoothness. “Grooming practices, which influence the health of the hair differ in each of the regions. Africa follows the practice of braiding, tying hair very tightly, use of neutralisers, etc and Caucasians are known to indulge in hair colouring, blow drying, use of styling products, etc. The practice of regular hair oiling with coconut hair oil in the Indian sub-continent makes it the world’s best hair,” says Dr Yash Kamath, who has spent 11 years as TRI’s Director of Research.
